Accounting Position with small WOFE
Company Overview
We are a small British-owned WOFE operating in Shanghai. We source goods and arrange manufacturing, as well as organise shipping logistics and warehousing for our foreign clients.
Position Overview
We are currently looking for a capable individual to fill the position that will be vacated at the end of January by our current accountant.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contact local bank and make RMB payments when needed
- Record and handle daily RMB expenses
- Bookkeeping (record invoices, PIs, etc.)
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor statements monthly or when required
- Prepare statements for customers
- Contact with and submit reports to tax bureau and other government organizations monthly or when required
- Deal with relevant government agencies and bureaus where necessary
- Contact with and submit documents to HK accounting firm when requested
- Company payroll
- Social insurance payments for Chinese staff
Competencies and Personal Qualities
- Chinese national with at least two years experience in a similar role
- Chinese Accounting Certificate
- Knowledge of PRC accounting law
- Knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Flexibility and willingness to perform any extra duties that are required of you in the course of the day-to-day running of a small business
- Experience of working in an international trade environment - knowledge of trading procedures relating to tax refund, import and export documentation etc.
The position is permanent with a probation period of 2 months. The starting salary is negotiable, depending on relevant experience.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, based in our office in Xuhui.
