Senior Marketing Manager of top game company (Shanghai)

The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with the China Marketing Director to create, implement and nurture the overall strategy of developing and maintaining the target audiences of the company's franchises, further build up brands for sustainable growth in terms of users, revenue and brand health indicators.
(Just to be clear- the Marketing Director is ultimately responsible for the formulation of the marketing strategy. The senior marketing manager can assist, but their primary role will ultimately be to coordinate implementation of that strategy through the management of the marketing team leads, partners and cross-functional leads. Also the Senior Marketing Manager should manage cross-functional projects such as promotional partnerships and market research projects).

1. Manage implementation of the annual marketing plan for China business unit.
- Work with China product marketing teams to devise local marketing programs that deliver results in line with marketing objectives
- Work with local operating partners to communicate China strategies and tactics and help to facilitate implementation of those plans in the market
- Track results of marketing programs through quantifiable measurements and provide analysis and recommendations for future programs.
- Work with the China marketing director to provide quarterly updates on marketing activities and results to the Headquarters team.

2. Manage the China marketing teams
- Provide leadership to product marketing managers in order to help prioritize tasks, ensure quality output and meet delivery deadlines
- Identify training and professional growth opportunities for marketing team employees
- Share knowledge between marketing teams and other functional areas
- Review marketing program ideas before they are submitted to HQ for approval
- Actively engage and work with cross functions such as sales, product, etc. to collectively upgrade marketing prowess

3. Partnership management
- Maintain close and effective relationships with operating partner teams
- Establish good relations with key distributors and accounts
- Manage, supervise and evaluate partners' marketing plans and implementations

4. Analyse and develop expertise in the market dynamics of designated product category
- Identify internal and external sources of market knowledge (research companies, internal databases/ECRM, internet, personal networking)
- Manage local marketing research initiatives. Work with vendors and HQ to ensure that sampling methodology is sound, questionnaire localization is accurate and the research objectives are met.
- Ensure the monitoring of consumer, industry and competitive behaviour in China and
- Provide local market expertise to the management team
- Present and discuss findings and interpretation to management and internal departments
- Demonstrate ability to interpolate analysis into strategic and tactical decision-making process

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
- BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field required.
- MBA preferred.

Knowledge/Skills
- The ideal candidate will have the following key attributes
- Minimum 6-8 years professional experience
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding and highly creative marketing achievements; strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market.
- A proven, successful track record of increasing company revenue and awareness through well-executed marketing efforts.
- Motivated and creative with the ability to self-manage
- Strong influencing and interpersonal / communication skills
- Team player to be able to work on multi-party projects with multiple teams and able to ensure that local project deadlines and budgets are met
- Profound knowledge of game products and industry technologies, future trends, and direction
Strong computer application skills including PowerPoint, Excel and MS Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency in English
